This SEA workshop invited a Vietnamese artist who specializes in thought-provoking art using different mediums. I especially loved his slipper project Ecodi which had words embedded into the soles of the slippers saying "Good travellers leave no traces" creating an embossing effect when walking on sandy beaches. I thought it was a very abstract and thoughtful way of creating awareness with an everyday practical object and almost promotes regenerative travel.

 

More importantly for the exercise, we were instructed to form our own weapons that resembles our country that makes us contemplate and form our own interpretation of hatred. It was especially fun and more likeable than the other SEA workshops so far up to this point. I really enjoyed it and hope more SEA workshops can provide us this much freedom and liberty without needing to restrict ourselves to a group.
